Nokia announced new phones nokia 100 and 101

Nokia is on a spree of announcing new phones! Yesterday, the company announced three new Symbian Belle powered phones, the Nokia 600, 700 and 701. Today, the company has announced two new handsets, the Nokia 100 and 101. Unlike the handsets announced yesterday, both the handsets announced today are low-end ones, and are meant for the emerging market.

The Nokia 100 and 101 are powered by the Series 30 OS. Both the handsets also come with a color display, FM radio and a flashlight on-board. The main difference between the Nokia 100 and 101 is that the latter is a dual-SIM phone, while the former is not. The 101 also comes with an MP3 player, 3.5mm audio jack and a microSD card slot. The handsets will also have an exceptionally good battery life, and can last up to 25 days on standby.

In selected markets, the handsets will come with Nokia Life Tools pre-installed as well. The Nokia 101 will go on sale in emerging markets like China and India from this quarter, itself. The Nokia 100 will be launched sometime in the next quarter. The Nokia 100 will retail for €20 and the 101 will retail for €25, excluding taxes and subsidies.
